What makes the block bottom pouch so sustainable?
The pouch is certified according to EN 13432 and is made of 100% industrially compostable material with a barrier foil of cellulose. The pouch is made of PapierWise, a wood-free paper produced from agricultural waste. It is visually indistinguishable from conventional paper, but has the same qualities and properties.
What does EN 13432 certified mean?
The EN 13432 certificate is a standard according to which products must be at least 90% decomposable within a maximum of 90 days in an industrial composting plant.
What is the difference between industrially compostable and home compostable?
Industrially compostable means that a material can decompose in a composting facility at an elevated temperature. Home compostable means that the material will decompose at room temperature.
